Campbells Bay is a small neighbourhood beach with beachfront properties right on the sands. A small playground for children, changing room/toilet block and reserve are all at the southern end of the beach. Here small boats and Jet Skis can also be launched.
At the northern end, on the Esplanade there is a small dairy and Old English restaurant.
Campbells Bay also is home to Pupuke golf course which has some tricky holes through the undulating greens and fairways. Centennial Park has bush walks, picnic areas and a tranquil tennis club.
Castor Bay a sheltered family beach and reserve is great for children. With a jungle gym, playground and small toilet block.
J.F. Kennedy Memorial Park with old gun turrets and tunnels through the hills is an area ventured upon regularly.
